How old do children need to be to swim at Treetop Tails Swim School?
Swimmers must be at least 2 years old (24 months) on the first day of their lessons.
Do you teach adults?
Yes! Adult lessons are tailored to the specific needs of the swimmer.
Do you offer parent and tot classes?
Parent and tot classes are not being offered at this time.
What are your payment terms?
Full payment is due on or before the first day of lessons by cash or e-transfer.
How do I find out about availability or register for lessons?

What do I need to bring to lessons?
You should bring a bathing suit and towel. Goggles are recommended but not required.
I have goggles available to borrow if you don't have any or would like to try them before purchasing your own.
Does my child need to wear a swim diaper?
Any child who is under the age of three or is not fully potty trained is required to wear a swim diaper.
Reusable swim diapers are preferred however disposable swim diapers are also acceptable.
***Please ensure the diaper is specifically designed for swimming
as regular diapers absorb water and have the potential to explode in the pool.***
What program do you teach?
I teach Canadian Red Cross Preschool and Swim Kids programs.
How many swimmers are in a class?
I offer private (1:1) and semi-private (up to 3:1) lessons. You can find more information on our lessons and rates here.
What is the temperature of the pool?
The pool is heated to a minimum temperature of 84°F.
Is there a washroom?
Washroom facilities are available for emergencies only. Please plan to go to the bathroom at home prior to lessons.
Do parents need to stay during their child’s swimming lesson?
Yes, a parent/guardian of each participant must be present during lessons if the participant is a minor. We have seating available in the sun or shade.
Can I have two of my children take lessons during the same time slot?
Yes, you may request to do semi-private lessons with two or three of your children if they are close to the same level.
Can I split my lessons between two sessions?
Lessons must be done in the sessions provided. As our sessions are generally fully booked, I will be unable to accommodate lessons being done over two different sessions.
What happens if there is inclement weather?
Swimming lessons will be held rain or shine, but will not be held in the event of thunder or lightening. Lessons will not resume until 30 minutes after the last roll of thunder or strike of lightning. Any lessons cancelled due to inclement weather will be rescheduled for Friday of the second week at your regular time.
Lessons will not be rescheduled if you decide not to come due to rain.
What if something comes up and I can't make it to my lesson?
Please contact me as soon as possible if you know that you will be missing a class. I will do my best to reschedule the missed class but please understand that I may not be able to accommodate a make-up class depending on my schedule. Make-up classes are not guaranteed and there will be no refunds for missed classes.
